The Prisms model was created by André Hunebelle and Roger Cognéville. And is signed by both designers. Although the signatures are vague. The table lamp has a height of 20,3 cm (8 inches).
And the shade has a diameter of some 15 cm. It is in excellent condition. I have re-nickeled and patinated the base and the lamp is rewired with twisted cloth covered cord an American candelabra base socket and US 2-prong plug.
For European countries I will place a E14 socket. He became interested in glassware in 1925. And first showed his work to the public at the 1927' Salon des artistes décorateurs'.
Soon after he opened his first shop at 42 rue de la Boétie for which Roger Cognéville designed its store front (see last picture). A second shop at 11 rue Meslay was followed by a third much larger one at 2 Ave Victor Emmanuel III.
Many of the pieces were designed by Hunebelle. They created numerous models together.Those are signed with both signatures. The molds for the vases and scarce lamp shades were made by la maison Étienne Franckhauser.
A highly respected specialist who made molds for Lalique Sabino Simonet frères Etling and many others. And the glassware was produced by the' Cristallerie Choisy-le-Roi'. Around 1938 Hunebelle closed his shops and 1941 onwards he worked in cinema. He for instance produced the famous Fantômas series.
