French Art Deco Ernest Gazan For Etling Additions Porcelain Female Figure

  
DESCRIPTION : Here is a beautiful and uncommon Art Deco French Etling Editions porcelain figure of a female relaxing in a black framed deck chair with a dark blue canvas. The female is holding a book in her lap and has two dark blue roses with green leaves on one arm. The other arm with her hand under chin while she contemplates and reflects what she has read from the book. The top part of her dress is white with light blue streaks with a dark blue panel below. The bottom half of the dress is flanked by two yellow panels with a white center panel and decorated with three dark red spots in a triangular formation and a hem with a light blue panel with large white dots and a thin black line above and below having dark red spots on each side.

She has a reddish brown shawl with three dotted white petal flowers with black stem decoration. Her hair is a mid blue with black highlights, blue eye make up, black painted eyes, eye brows and earrings and having a red painted mouth an nostrils. Signed to the back Gazan in black. Marked to the base with red painted Editions Etling Paris within a triangle with a quartered circle with S E D B. SIZE : The figure measures 26 cm long by 14.5 cm high and 19.5 cm at widest point.
