Hand Blown Glass Bowl, Set Into Decorative. The Shell Is Made Up Of Twelve Segments With Bulbous Glass Protruding Apertures And Ornamental Scalloped Frill Along The Under Edge Of The Glass Bowl. Set Upon Cylindrical Tiered Base With Circular Platform Plinth.

The Glass Interior Cannot Be Removed From The Wrought Iron Shell. This Bowl Is Thought To Be An Early Example Of Daum And Majorelle Works Which Where Exhibited At The World Fair In Paris 1900. Examples Of The Same Strap Work As In This Item Have Been Shown In Their Later Works. This Bowl Is Unsigned Although Some of The Earlier Works Were Unsigned Or Marked On The Lower Edges And Then Covered With Metal Banding. Stunning Collectors Item For Decorative Centrepiece Display. The Bowl Is Completely Original And Showing Signs Of Age To The Metal Frame Work Conducive To Age And Usage. Glass Bowl In Pristine Condition.
